Gamma Eco – Innovation and sustainability – SsangYong and OMVL take care of the environment
This is the slogan of KGM-Ssangyong ECO campaign, dedicated to the famous car maker vehicles converted to LPG.
The Korean group has chosen the experience and professionalism of OMVL Italia for converting to alternative fuel some of its models imported into Spain.
The project between the Astara group, which imports KGM-Ssangyong for Spain, goes through the OMVL dealer iRCONGAS based in Madrid, which converts about 50% of the cars to at its premises, while the remaining is entrusted directly to the KGM-Ssangyong dealership network.
The collaboration that began in July 2022, continued in 2023 and will continue successfully in 2024 and 2025, with the conversion of about 400 vehicles per year. The agreement provides for the transformation of the Tivoli, Gran Tivoli, Korando and Torres models, all with a 163 hp Turbo 1.5i DI engine with direct petrol injection and CO2 emissions of 163 g/km.
The system chosen for the conversion of these models is Dreamotion, the latest OMVL Italia, suitable for a wide range of vehicles with engines of all powers and of the latest generation (DI & DI-MPI), complying with the Euro 6D NEDC or WLTP standard.
Dreamotion offers an even more high-performance drive, with lower emissions and greater savings.
The main components are the compact and fully electronic eVP-500 LPG reducer for low and high-power engines, which offers smooth and optimal drivability performance; the innovative and advanced AFC-3.0 DI electronic control and management unit; the reliable, precise and high-performance IN03 injectors.
The system is completed by other OMVL components, including the One-Touch switch and the Type 94 gas-phase filter.
